Recently awarded Council of the year, the Royal Borough of Greenwich is looking to recruit a Team Manager / Deputy Lead Occupational therapist to lead and manage a team of skilled Occupational therapists and support staff.
Job Role
The Royal Borough of Greenwich is committed to delivering high-quality social care services to our diverse community. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Deputy Lead / Team Manager. This role is crucial in ensuring the well-being and independence of our clients through comprehensive assessments and tailored care and support plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of skilled Occupational Therapists and support staff.
- Support staff in developing and implementing individualised care plans to promote health, well-being, and independence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary system wide teams, including health services, voluntary agencies, and local authority providers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Provide mentorship, training and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Have recent experience in staff management and human resource processes / procedures
- Monitor and evaluate service delivery to ensure high standards of care and evidence based outcomes.
- Deputise as required for the Principal OT / Service Manager.
What We Are Looking For:
- A qualified and registered Occupational Therapist with significant experience in social care.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using IT systems.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to working in a dynamic environment.

The candidate will need:
- Registration with the HCPC, BAOT membership and Enhanced DBS
- Recent Practice, Management experience in Local Authority provision
