We have an exciting opportunity to be the strategic lead for our Family, Adult and Community Education Service (FACES), to manage and direct key developments for adult learning programmes in Sheffield.
This is an exciting time to join the service, following a successful Ofsted inspection in 2023, the introduction of Tailored Learning opportunities for residents of Sheffield and the development of the Pathways To Work trailblazer in Sheffield.
Adult learning will be even more key to supporting residents in Sheffield to develop key skills for work, health and wellbeing, developing confidence, supporting children's learning and building communities.
You will have experience of Ofsted inspections and a sound knowledge of quality frameworks to support success at any inspection. You will have the ability to develop strategies to meet the current and future funding.
You will be able to support and negotiate with key stakeholders across a range of partners both locally and nationally. You will have a sound understanding of the political landscape and be able to advise and support elected members in regard to the adult education and skills portfolio.
You will understand the skills and learning landscape that opens opportunities to enable adults to develop skills and knowledge for sustained employment, inspire their families so they can thrive in the 21st Century.
We are looking for an innovative, self-motivated individual who can inspire teams that will encourage adult learners to engage in learning, develop confidence, and ultimately move onto a pathway to achieve qualifications in a variety of settings in and around Sheffield.
