We are seeking a Strategic Safer Communities Manager to provide strategic leadership and coordination for Wakefield Council’s domestic abuse functions, ensuring we meet our statutory responsibilities and strategic commitments. This important role will help align projects across the district to create positive results for residents and build safer, healthier, and more sustainable communities.
As the Strategic Safer Communities Manager, you will:
- Place citizens at the heart of our work, championing service user involvement and co-production.
- Lead the development and strategic commissioning of interventions that improve outcomes
- Promote early intervention and prevention, whole system working and strengthening community support and resilience.
- Encourage a collaborative approach across services to ensure people’s needs are met as early as possible.
This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead strategic domestic abuse initiatives, driving meaningful change and supporting the development of a safer and more supportive community in Wakefield.
