About the role and our ideal candidate
The Role:
-Reporting to a Team Manager or two Assistant Team Managers, Social Workers are responsible for assessment, support planning and safeguarding vulnerable adults. You will work with our residents, family carers and commissioners to ensure that support packages comprehensively meet assessed needs, whilst also being innovative and cost-effective.
-Our social care staff within the hospital team work closely with NHS colleagues from acute and rehabilitation facilities, and with community health services, to facilitate safe, timely discharge. Their priority is to enable people to return to their own homes, utilising reablement and other services to enable them regain independence.
-The role offers a range of valuable experience. You will be surrounded by supportive Team Manager, two Assistant Team Managers and friendly multidisciplinary team colleagues, in a reflective workplace culture.
About you
-We are looking for a qualified Social Worker with a personality of someone with drive, determination and vision who is keen to make a positive impact.
-This is an exciting development opportunity for qualified social workers with completed ASYE or with more than two years of post-qualifying UK practice experience, so please apply if you would like a new challenge, and to progress with your career.
-You will also receive the training and development opportunities you need to excel in your career, as well as opportunities to move between departments and to progress into more senior roles.
In addition, we would expect the following from all suitable candidates:
Degree for professional qualification of Social Worker
Social work England registered.
