We are recruiting to the Team Manager position responsible for overseeing the Complex Care Needs Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to improve the lived experiences of children and young people with complex needs and their families.
The successful candidate will have strong social care management skills along with detailed knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
They will have a key role in partnership working, building and sustaining relationships with peers and colleagues across the range of agencies and services involved in providing support to children and young people with complex needs.
The manager will contribute to the delivery of strategic priorities of children with complex needs in need of help and protection and children in care.
The Complex Care Needs Team are a social care team situated within the Education and Inclusion Service as part of Inclusion and Assessment that works with children and young people aged from 0-18 who have severe learning disabilities and very complex medical needs.
They provide individual child assessments and family assessments which enable provision to be organised that supports the family in meeting the needs of children with profound and multiple learning disabilities and very complex medical needs.
The team work and manage children on Child In Need, Child Protection plans, children within public and private legal proceedings and Children in Care.
The team endeavours to ensure that all children receive the right level of intervention at the right time to improve outcomes for them.
