Islington is a dynamic and wonderfully diverse inner London borough serving over 215,000 residents. We are determined to create a more equal Islington, where everyone who lives here has an equal chance to thrive. Our deep commitment to children and young people is embedded across every part of the council and we are a safe, child-friendly borough. Our professional practice is founded on the bedrock of motivational practice and a trauma-informed approach and we are proud of our stable, high-achieving workforce which has achieved outstanding Ofsted outcomes including our youth justice service.
Our new Director will lead our high performing early help and children’s social care service, accountable for children in care, child protection and children in need. We are looking for a Director to provide inspirational senior leadership, oversee our successful social work academy and continue to innovate and explore best practice in all that we do.
A genuine collaborator and strong partner, you will help us deliver against our ambitious agenda to ensure Islington’s workforce, children and young people thrive.
