Are you a professional manager seeking a varied and interesting part - time management position responsible managing and delivering our temporary accommodation and private sector provision? 

If so, the Royal Borough of Greenwich would welcome your application for a permanent 

part time position of 17.5 hours per week, to job share the role of Temporary Accommodation and Procurement Manager with the existing post holder.

This is an important and integral key role within a busy and demanding service compounded by an acute shortage of both temporary accommodation and private rented sector properties. 

 The Royal Borough of Greenwich, along with most other local authorities is struggling to source adequate, good quality accommodation to meet customer demand.  

As such, one of the top priorities for the successful candidate is to ensure that sufficient suitable properties are procured to meet the housing needs of those who are homeless or in housing need, whilst ensuring the team provide effective customer support to those in temporary accommodation, including maximising rental income and minimising voids.

The successful candidate will have direct management responsibility for the Senior Temporary Accommodation Officer, Senior Procurement Officer, Senior Access & Support Officer and the Supported Project Manager and will report into the Allocations, TA & Procurement Manager. 

The postholder will be expected to develop and implement systems and practices to ensure that the service achieves performance targets and quality standards.
