Leave a lasting stamp on technology practice across our organisation

At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people at the heart of everything we do. As part of our ambition to be the best Council, we’re transforming our Digital, Data and Technology Service. The ability to leverage Microsoft technologies and platforms will be key to our success. Microsoft Power Platform will be integral to our mission of creating applications that improve our efficiency and benefits users of our services.

The Role:

As Power Platform Lead, you will be instrumental in making sure service users can get the absolute best from the Power Platform tools. We see this technology as being instrumental to improving the council and improving the lives of local residents, in all manner of ways.

We will look to you to provide leadership in this space, heading up Microsoft Power Platform Centre of Excellence (CoE) governance with a keen eye on data protection. Taking responsibility for defining and leading product roadmap development, implementation and support, you will drive a step change in our digital transformation. With scope to deliver measurable value and meaningful outcomes, you will leave a lasting stamp on technology practice across the Council.

With your experience in the tech stack – and your deep understanding of what drives excellence – you will be the face of Power Platform within the organisation. Widely recognised for your subject matter expertise, you will work with a range of stakeholders across the organisation, and with our dedicated data, development and architecture teams.

About You:

You will bring to the role proven experience as a Power Platform Developer, with a focus on Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate and Dataverse. Expertise in Power Platform CoE and related governance is vital. Your track record also includes end to end application management and support, as well as cost and budget management. Experience of working in a SCRUM agile model will be an advantage.

The ability to build relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is crucial in this role. You demonstrate the communication skills and matrix team experience to provide both support and leadership with clarity and confidence – from educating stakeholders, through to explaining the importance of particular principles, standards and ways of working.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme, and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.

We are committed to promoting equality and respecting diversity and welcome applications from all sections of the community.

We are a Disability Confident Employer – committed to ensuring that our recruitment and selection process is inclusive and accessible.
