By creating more and better opportunities, through improving skills, education, engagement, inclusion, tackling child poverty and reshaping how the public sector supports and delivers to and with our communities, we will make a radical step change in the economic prosperity felt by all people across the region.

The Director will:

  • bring bravery, drive, ambition and leadership, rooted in the deep knowledge of how to shape, commission and then ensure delivery with a myriad of partners across complex systems.
  • have a complex array of skills, sensitivities and experience will ensure they can thrive and lead in a highly visible, politically led environment.
  • show how they will achieve at scale in their specialist areas, rather than the sectors they might come from.
