About this opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join Westmorland and Furness Children and Families as Team Manager of Support and Protect covering the Eden area.
As Team Manager you will be responsible for a team of social workers providing assessment planning and intervention services for children and young people of Westmorland and Furness, working across the thresholds of children in need, children Protection and cared for.
We are looking for an experienced individual who has the skills and knowledge, to manage, motivate, and develop the team to deliver outstanding practice to children and their families. As Team Manager it is crucial that you demonstrate professional leadership and work alongside others in the organisation and partner agencies to improve outcomes for the children and families.
To help us achieve our ambitions for children and families we are looking for dedicated, and compassionate practitioners who are child centred and committed to relationship-based social work to join us.
About Westmorland and Furness
Westmorland and Furness Council was officially formed in April 2023, which means this is an extremely exciting time to join us, we have made great progress in our journey to deliver innovative and impactful services.
In July 2024, our Children’s Services have received a rating of “Good” overall following their first routine Ofsted inspection since replacing the former Cumbria County Council.
Despite the positive inspection result, we are determined to continue our improvement journey in children’s services and achieve our ambitions and objectives for every child in Westmorland and Furness.
