The Royal Borough of Greenwich Council and the South East London Integrated Care Board have come together to create an integrated approach to commissioning services within Greenwich Place, and this post will play a key role in this new approach.

About You

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced leader to fulfil the role of Head of Integrated Commissioning and System Development (portfolio: Working Age Adults with Disabilities & Complex Care).  The right candidate will lead the development and implementation of our integrated commissioning approach for adults in and across the Council and the NHS, which enables strong partnerships and high-quality services that support Greenwich residents to lead healthy, fulfilling, and independent lives.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong commitment to service development, transformation, and re-design, to support continual service improvement.  You’ll know what best practice looks like in Adult Social Care and Health services and have the energy and enthusiasm to drive this agenda forward.

The Role

The postholder will work closely with the Associate Director of Integrated Commissioning & System Development (Adults - Disabilities & Mental Health) and Practitioners to lead on ensuring that all commissioned services deliver a person-centered, strengths-based approach that engages individuals in their care and support, promotes independence, choice and control and puts dignity at the heart of delivery. 

As Head of Integrated Commissioning and System Development, you’ll also be leading and/or supporting on:

  • Partnership and co-production,
  • Continued design and implementation of our integrated commissioning framework
  • Incorporating appropriate governance structures, and which supports integrated, outcome focused approaches to health and care.
  • Working collaboratively with the market and residents,
  • Leading staff across the system to implement transformational change including further integration of health, care and other forms of support.
  • Overseeing the delivery of approaches to commissioning that address personalisation and whole person pathways.
