Job Details
The Royal Borough of Greenwich Public Health Department is seeking to recruit a Senior Public Health Manager (Everybody Active). The Public Health department provides strategic, operational, analytical, and commissioning functions in pursuit of the improvement in health and wellbeing of the population and the reduction in health inequalities.
This is an exciting role which will lead the development and delivery of key strategic public health and wellbeing programmes, projects and approaches to improving physical activity levels in Greenwich, including key strategies and plans which address health inequalities, reduce sedentary behaviour, and promote health at all sizes. The post holder will co-ordinate cross-agency programmes of work to tackle the determinants of physical inactivity, sedentary behaviour, and obesity within a complex systems framework, tackling health inequalities and increasing health equity. They will provide public health expertise and insight to support the delivery of key health and wellbeing priorities for the Borough.
This work will require someone with significant experience of leading multi-agency strategies and partnership programmes of work, ideally within the sphere of physical activity and with knowledge and understanding of the importance and challenges associated with delivery of these programmes of work.
This is a full time, permanent role.
