This is an exciting time to join London Borough of Harrow.
Following a review of the Place Directorate and the subsequent creation of a new leadership team, we are now seeking two Assistant Directors and a number of other senior Management roles to join us and lead our services.
We’re looking for creative and collaborative leaders, passionate about delivering frontline services that touch the lives of every one of our 250,000 residents; influence and support our climate change ambitions; contribute to shaping our local economy that is fairer and stronger and our ambitious regeneration programme to build more homes.
As one of the most ethnically and religiously diverse populations in the country, on the outskirts of London and with excellent transport connections as well as extensive parks and green belt, Harrow is where you can build a rewarding career and an enjoyable life.
The role
Reporting to the Director of Housing, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that the council’s housing strategies maximise resident satisfaction.
This will entail:
- Reviewing housing’s strategic objectives and how these align with wider corporate ambitions. Providing high-level analyses to identify issues which require further investigation or exploration. Working collaboratively with residents, colleagues across housing and the wider council to bring forward and implement innovative solutions to address these issues.
You’ll be tasked with putting in place a thriving and innovative approach to resident engagement so that residents are at the heart of housing services and that Harrow becomes recognised as sector-leading in this field.
Candidates
This role calls for a professional with experience of housing strategy and wider regulatory and legislative framework for housing.
The ability to develop and implement programmes which drive performance and maximise resident satisfaction will be required for success.
Closing date: Midnight Sunday 9th June 2024
