Are you passionate about Transport Planning?
This is a key post within the Infrastructure Planning and Transport Service. The Infrastructure Planning and Transport Service is responsible for the Council’s engagement in all major projects and strategic transport infrastructure schemes to support delivery of the Council Plan and Local Transport Plan.
The post holder will support the Senior Manager to achieve an integrated approach to transport planning to plan and enable delivery of infrastructure to unlock sustainable development and support economic growth within Cumberland.
The post holder will lead, motivate, and direct the Infrastructure Planning and Active Travel teams to fulfil the Council’s strategic and transport planning function and develop, prioritise, and advise on planning obligations and economic opportunities that contribute to improving the economy of Cumberland and align with the priorities in the Cumberland Council Plan.
The post holder will also act as a lead Council officer on multi-partner project boards delivering major transport infrastructure, economic development, housing, or other Place based interventions ensuring the Council’s objectives are met.
