We are passionate about Doncaster - it’s a great place to live, do business and visit.
We have plenty to shout about – Doncaster is the UK’s best connected location, we have many major developments in the pipeline, a vibrant urban centre with a thriving arts and cultural scene, sport and leisure attractions, wonderful green spaces and a fascinating heritage. We firmly believe, as do our partners, that Doncaster is the place to be with a bright future and ambitions ahead of it. But don’t just take our word for it – anyone joining the council, can look forward to expanding their knowledge and skills in a dynamic, creative and nurturing environment while truly making a difference to the communities we serve.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Adult Social Care leadership team. Reporting directly to our dedicated Head of Service for Future Options, you will work closely with staff, teams, partners and individuals with lived experience to help shape the ongoing development and future of our adult social care services. This opportunity is there to ensure we can continue to transform our services and our approach.
We have embedded a person centred, strengths based practice framework with a vision based on Social Care Futures, and we are committed and focused on supporting the citizens of Doncaster to build better lives. Your inclusive values and commitment to equality will be beyond question. You’ll also have the skills to work alongside staff, partners and people with lived experience to turn values into action.
You’ll get plenty of support as part of a friendly Council with a dynamic can-do culture. If you have the skills, determination, and commitment to make a real difference and want an exciting job to influence at the heart of our community to improve the health, wellbeing and safety of our residents, we want to hear from you.
We are looking to appoint an experienced service manager to support and develop the council’s in-house learning disability Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered care provision and day services provision within adult Future Options portfolio. The postholder will report directly to the Head of Service for Future Options and initial responsibilities will include the management and transformation of the council’s in-house learning disability CQC registered care services, which includes the Council’s adult short breaks respite services, a small residential care home and a supported living complex. This post will also include management and transformation for the council’s thirteen in- house day services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering quality person-centred services to support individuals with a learning disability to lead their best life. We are looking for someone who has past experience of managing CQC registered services (ideally supporting individuals with a learning disability) with a proven track-record of successfully managing service change.
