We have a role available for a Senior Lawyer (Enforcement & Licensing )

This opportunity is suitable for lawyers who have a proven track record in the field of enforcement primarily in the magistrates’ court (criminal and civil), as well as Licensing, and will manage a small team of experienced lawyers. We are looking for individuals who are real team players, self-motivated and flexible, who can deliver to work to tight timescales. You will be dealing with a wide range of matters acting for our Boroughs as both prosecutor or complainant in all types of regulatory enforcement and compliance including food safety, trading standards, health and safety, blue badge, dangerous structures, planning and highways, environmental, CIL recovery via Liability orders etc.  In the licensing context, you would act as legal adviser to licensing sub-committees and represent the committee on appeals.  A knowledge of local government legislation is essential.
