Greenwich Children’s Social Care is looking for a proactive and experienced safeguarding professional to lead and develop our partnership work with schools.

The SESLS is a key leadership role within the Practice, Improvement and Development Service, and you will be expected to demonstrate and provide leadership across Children’s Services and externally to the wider multi agency partnership. You should be an authoritative professional with at least equivalent status to an experienced children’s social work Service Leader.

You will need a Teaching or Social Work qualification and relevant experience of working in schools and education settings including experience and understanding of school safeguarding systems as well as management experience. You will need to be a committed and dynamic professional able to sustain and develop effective working relationships and drive problem solving and improvement across the service and partnerships.

The role involves managing up to 6 members of staff involved in developing schools’ partnership projects including the Schools Safeguarding Officer and a new project across schools in Greenwich focusing on the wellbeing of vulnerable pupils.

The role is graded at P09 (Salary scale)
