Can you leverage data-driven insights, working alongside council service leaders, to deliver improvements that make a different to communities? Are you someone who can drive forward the development and delivery of analytical and performance management processes?

About the role

We are a growing corporate team working across the council’s many service areas. We are progressive and ambitious and aim to be at the forefront of data intelligence provision for local government. This pivotal role would lead the delivery of bespoke PowerBI, Azure and SQL products to ensure actionable insights from complex datasets, enabling the council to deliver the best services possible. You will be responsible for working alongside service directorates to develop reporting process throughout the data pathway; establishing data architecture, developing dashboards, and analyzing and interpreting data to provide strategic recommendations. Your work will contribute directly to improving to the lives of people and communities in Westmorland and Furness.

Who we are looking for

If you have experience as a data analyst or similar, and are someone who believes in the power of evidence-based decision making, then we’d love to have you on the team. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with experience with economic data, though this is not essential.
