Advert Text

Merton Council has made a significant investment to the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Integrated Service (SENDIS) and we are now recruiting to a number of positions across the service which includes the expansion of the Educational Psychology Service (EPS)

Merton EPS is a well-established and highly regarded team which plays a key role in the implementation of the Children and Families Act 2014 and offers traded services to pre-school settings, schools and colleges. The EPS offers exciting opportunities for projects and interventions to be delivered such as CBT, ELSA, MELSA, VIG and NAS’s EarlyBird Plus and TeenLife. We also have a long-standing reputation of supporting trainee EPs on placement, which we are proud of.

If you are committed to improving the life chances of children and young people and want to join an innovative dynamic EPS then Merton may be the place for you.

In order to be considered for this post, you will need to have a qualification in Educational Psychology (e.g. Doctorate or Masters), which permits Graduate Registration with the British Psychological Society, alongside a current HCPC Registration. Successful management experience to provide strategic direction and operational management for the Educational Psychology Service for children and young people from 0-25, and ensure the quality of its contribution to the work of the Directorate of Children Schools and Families.

If you are interested in working with us and wish to discuss this opportunity further, please Karla Finikin, Head of SENDIS on 0205 545 4810 or email sen@merton.gov.uk
