Role Overview:

As the Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering the Council's regeneration and housing agendas. Your responsibilities will encompass leading diverse projects and programs, both strategically and operationally e.g. Towns Fund, Levelling Up Programme and Town Centre Regeneration Fund. With the current 5-year capital budget £75m and annual revenue budget £3.2m, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and innovation in redefining Wakefield's city centre and major town hubs, making them premier destinations for businesses, residents, and visitors alike. Moreover, you'll champion inclusive housing growth initiatives, ensuring the provision of quality housing that addresses the needs of our diverse community while combating substandard living conditions.

You should possess exceptional communication skills and the ability to cultivate collaborative relationships across various sectors.
