We have set a three year budget and are on course to deliver an improved savings plan for quarter one. As Director of Finance (Section 151 Officer), this is your opportunity to shape the future direction of our developing finance function, with the support of a wider team, and advance your career to the next level.

Reporting to our Chief Executive, your portfolio will include all aspects of corporate and service finance, as well as overseeing critical transformation projects and providing the financial leadership for one of the largest regeneration programmes in the North. You will also lead procurement, fraud, audit, insurance and risk management functions as well as revenues and benefits. This post is a key leadership role in our integrated Council core, working closely with our Executive Director, Strategy & Transformation.

You will have the opportunity to use your professional accountancy qualification and experience across the full breadth of financial responsibilities.
