Following a recent promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Senior Leadership Team as a Planning and Strategic Growth Group Manager. We have an ambitious place shaping vision with a focus on our communities. This is an opportunity to join an authority built on trust, delivering new and innovative projects with strong partnerships.
Working to the Executive Director of Place, the post holder as part of our Senior Leadership Team will be in a key leadership role overseeing the Council’s Development Services, Strategic Growth, Enforcement and Planning Policy service areas. Your overall responsibility will be to shape and drive the future development, sustainability, and prosperity of our diverse district.
You will lead a forward-thinking, talented team and work collaboratively with stakeholders to help us create a better tomorrow for the district. You will align your services with the Council’s vision, values, and strategic themes, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of the planning and strategic operations.

Assessment Centre Day at the Council offices: 22 March 2024
Shortlisted applicants will be asked to complete a written exercise/test prior to the assessment centre day. The assessment centre will involve a series of exercises which you will be required to take part in.
