An exciting opportunity for a Team Manager in the Adult social care team in North Complex team at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The Review Tea provides Care Act 2014 services to vulnerable adults across RBKC. As a priority we seek to include and involve all voices. We are very proud of the service we provide to our community and those who are vulnerable. The office is based at Kensington Town Hall so very good transport links across London and outside London.

The Role:

The team is made up of a Team Manager, Advanced practitioners, Social Workers, ILA’s and Business support staff. You will manage the social work function that sits within Adult Social Care in RBKC. You will undertake management responsibilities. You will undertake management responsibilities in relation to Duty work, supervision of staff and deputising for the Head of Service when necessary. You will assist with assessment /Reviews and care management of vulnerable adults who need adult social care services.

About You:

You will need significant post-qualification experience of working with adults who are vulnerable with complex needs. A well-developed knowledge and understanding of the needs of service users with physical disability, older adults and autism including very dependent service users. A well-developed knowledge and understanding of the experience and needs of carers and the Team’s responsibilities towards carers. Knowledge and understanding of the Team’s statutory responsibilities. Experience in a supervisory role. Knowledge and understanding of the functions and importance of supervision.
