Centre Manager - Adult Services

London

Ref: HCAA01017

Permanent - Full Time

Salary £50,451 - £51,444

We are looking for a Centre Manager for our Oswald Street day service.

The Oswald Street day service building opened in 2018 and was purpose built to meet the needs of our service users who have a range of complex needs such as dementia, learning disabilities and age/health related frailties. The building was designed and furnished with input from service users, carers, staff, health and social care colleagues and partnership working remains very important to us.

You will need an in-depth understanding of the range of issues facing vulnerable adults with complex needs. To thrive in this role, you will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as other managers across the Council.

You should be an experienced manager, able to lead a team of nearly 40, including the centre’s associated transport service. You will lead and manage the service to ensure that services: meet quality standards; meet regulatory, legislative and council requirements; are innovative; empower service users; and are constantly developing.

The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to offer practical and emotional support to enable service users with complex needs to participate in recreational, educational and social programmes on and off site.

You will need to have excellent communications skills, an ability to build strong relationships and a professional demeanour that generates confidence.

Although the centre is open from Mondays to Fridays, the service supports some people in activities outside of core business hours, including occasional weekends, so the post-holder must be able to work flexibly to respond to needs for support.

This is a busy post and tasks are varied. You will need to be able to prioritise and meet deadlines and have the ability to switch from task to task to meet demands.

You should be passionate about helping us become the beacon of best practice we believe our service users deserve.

You will need a diploma/NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Health/Social Care along with a management qualification

The recruitment process is anonymous. Therefore, we do not accept supporting statements or CVs.

When applying, there will be a number of questions relating to the post on the application form. It is essential that you complete the application questions, responding to each using examples of your skills, knowledge and experience.

Closing date for applications: 8 September 2022.

Interview date: TBC.
