An exciting opportunity has arisen at Wakefield Council to appoint an Enterprise Manager. The post will work within the Economic Growth and Skills Service, reporting directly to the Skills and Business Service Manager. The post holder will play a critical role in leading a comprehensive Business Support Strategy to existing and new to the area Wakefield businesses.

The role will involve the strategic leadership of multi million pound, externally funded enterprise, skills and business support projects. Local businesses are facing significant challenges brought on by economic uncertainty, this role will be crucial in supporting employers and workforces in the coming years. You will join a proactive, dynamic team and influence the development of internal strategies and provide technical support on projects relating to skills development and economic growth.
