We have a good adult social care service that has successfully met the challenges of the pandemic and is working hard to deliver a personalised approach for our residents in Central Bedfordshire. We have built strong relationships with our care providers and we are working with our health colleagues to deliver a joined-up neighbourhood approach so that our residents are able to access care and support locally. We have made substantial investment into our housing, our care homes and local health facilities including the delivery of award winning and innovative housing for older people.

Building on this solid foundation, we are looking for a new Corporate Director of Social Care, Health and Housing, who will continue our pioneering work on integration with Health and lead our ambitious change programme in Housing.

As a Corporate Director, you will be responsible for leading our teams to continue delivering the best Social Care, Health and Housing services. But more than that, you will hold a key role in the Council’s Corporate Management Team to deliver our strategic plan, help us achieve our vision and ensure Central Bedfordshire remains a great place to live and work – for everyone.
