The Transformation and Innovation team manage a variety of strategic change programmes that span Children’s services including social care, early years, early help, youth services education and special educational needs. We are a friendly and hard-working team, committed to improving services for local children and their families.
Our full-time employees are contracted to work 36 hours per week. We offer flexible working patterns where possible to assist with a work/life balance and welcome applications from people wishing to work on a part-time or job share basis.
You’ll be working across the two boroughs with responsibility for supporting the delivery of creative and tangible service improvements through a broad spectrum of transformation and change methodologies. You will be providing support on a portfolio of change programmes and working with teams that cut across different departments, functions and organisations, both internally with Council teams and services as well as externally with partners and suppliers.
Using your experience in transformation and service improvement, you’ll help drive and deliver service-led change across Children’s Services. Providing project and programme management for cross-functional initiatives, you’ll focus on meeting increased demand and improving outcomes for children and their families. Although you’ll draw on a range of performance data and business intelligence, it’s customer insights that will be key. Putting the user at the centre of all we do, you will help us transform culture and processes.

You’ll be motivated by improving the outcomes of children and young people and have experience of delivering service change and improvement resulting in improved service outcomes and efficiency. You will ideally have a good understanding of children’s services and the health and social care partner landscape. You will be someone who can form strong partnerships and make connections between different departments, partners and sectors. You’ll be ready to shape and deliver a range of ambitious projects, you’ll be a self-starter able to use your own initiative effectively.
Resilient, determined and adaptable, you’ll need to be capable of synthesising complex information from diverse sources and making difficult decisions. You’ll also be a skilled collaborator, relationship builder and team worker.
