As Head of Service, we are looking for:
- In depth understanding and knowledge of children’s safeguarding Proven experience of leading and delivering statutory services A track record of working in and forging successful partnerships Excellent communication and relationship development skills Being able to demonstrate ability to initiate solutions to complex situations Experience of implementing plans and ensuring changes are embedded Demonstrable experience of influencing and negotiating at a senior level
In this critical post you will be responsible for the Early Help and Children’s Social Care Quality
Assurance Framework, host arrangements for Derby and Derbyshire Children Safeguarding Partnership, Workforce Development, Child Protection Managers and Independent Reviewing Officers. You will lead and develop plans to ensure that the safeguarding needs of children, young people and families are met.
You will be an ambassador for Derby City Council and be integral in the development of our strategic plans for the safeguarding needs of children and young people, working with partners across the City and Derbyshire footprint. You will lead by example and be a role model across our workforce, providing inspirational leadership which motivates people to embrace change, improve practice and performance which results in better safeguarding and well-being for children, young people, their families and the communities in which they live across Derby.
