East Cambridgeshire District Council are looking for a Director (Operations) who can demonstrate the breadth of capability, skills and vision to work with and support our Chief Executive to deliver the Council’s ambitious programme of change and improvement in the delivery of key services.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and working closely with elected Members, you will be a key member of the Council's Corporate Management Team and will lead the Council's statutory regulatory services, bringing together Building Control, Environmental Services, Housing and Community Safety, Planning and Waste and Recycling.  

The Council’s Waste and Recycling service is delivered by one of the Council’s two Trading companies, East Cambs Street Scene (ECSS). To fulfil this part of the role, you will be required to be a Director of ECSS.
Strong leadership skills will be required together with a proven track record of managing high quality, customer focused multi-disciplinary teams, implementing change, operating at the political/management interface and working collaboratively with partners.  You should also be able to demonstrate commercial acumen.
