Programme Lead UNICEF Child Friendly Initiative
The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

About the role
The role will be to manage the delivery of the UNICEF child friendly cities and communities programme in Bradford District, following the programme framework laid down by UNICEF. The successful postholder will be required to make a measurable and meaningful contribution to children’s rights will be critical in overseeing and developing Bradford District’s case for becoming a Child Friendly District. Most important, the postholder will be responsible for ensuring that there is active participation of children and young people in all aspects of the programme’s development and implementation.
You will be an individual who is passionate about children’s human rights and the need to ensure that the voice of the child is heard when developing public policy. You will be experienced and highly skilled at stakeholder management. You will be a self-starter that is willing to work alongside a range of partners from elected politicians and senior politicians to children and service users.
