About You and the Role
Are you an experienced vendor manager, service manager or contract manager? Do you relish managing complex and high value third party contracts? Do you always champion the customer and settle for nothing less than excellent service delivery? We may have your next opportunity and you don’t need to have an ICT background!
We have a brand new job available, to become our ICT Service Manager at Bolton Council. You will help create and maintain our ICT Servicing Strategy, establishing and performance-managing third party ICT relationships. You will balance your time securing the right delivery from our ICT vendors, with working internally across the Council to understand customer needs, responding to significant service requirements, and leading customer communications and actions related to change and problem management.
This is a role based in the Corporate ICT team, which is part of the Transformation division. You will be reporting to the Head of Enterprise Technology.
You will need:
• Proven experience in a large organisation at managing service delivery from third parties.
• Previous success at managing a KPIs regime through service delivery reviews, to promote the achievement of targeted performance levels.
• Experience of contract negotiation and management.
• To be at home with issue management.
• To be comfortable with the management of financials and controls relating to third parties.
• Superior communications skills.
• Team spirit, tenacity, and focus on delivery!
