Giving our children and young people the very best start is the cornerstone that our vision for Carmarthenshire is built on. You’ll lead the services that support our most vulnerable children and young people, ensuring that high quality provision promotes their safety and wellbeing throughout our communities. You’ll work closely with our Head of Education and Inclusion to bring about a structured, cohesive approach, with early intervention strategies at the centre of how we work.

We’re looking for an accomplished Children’s Services leader (and qualified social worker), who can draw the best from others and ensure that effective succession planning underpins a stable and future focused service. You will be committed to innovative social work practice and effective risk management to keep families together ensuring looked after children numbers remain low. It’s a role that offers autonomy and real scope to prove what you can do – in a County that offers fantastic quality of life and a strong sense of identity and local pride.
