We are looking for a Contracts Manager to bring their significant experience and strong leadership skills to NY Highways. As part of a team of Contract Managers, you’ll be responsible for managing a team in your area/s. We are open to discussing the geographic area you will be responsible for further with you in interview.
Leading a large team, you’ll oversee highways schemes, monitoring progress and reporting back. As a Leader in the company you will be professional and collaborative. Building good relationships with colleagues and clients is essential. Experience of working in local authorities and understanding the difference between that sector and private will be key to success in this role.
In addition, you will be a strong people manager, able to adapt to change and take the lead in your role. This will be a challenging role but one that brings with it the opportunity for you to see how you have developed your team and played a part in shaping the future success of our business. We want people who can will bring new ideas and are open to new opportunities within the business. As Contracts Manager you’ll be at the forefront of new opportunities and being part of the decision making in the company as it continues to grow and expand.
Taking control of projects from early stages through to completion, you’ll attend regular meetings with clients, subcontractors and designers and foster a collaborative approach. All projects will be delivered under an NEC4 contract so previous experience and a good understanding of the contract is essential.
Leading commercial and operational teams, not only in their day to day duties but in their career development through performance reviews and discussion of provision of training and development.
Ensuring all safe working practices are followed, ensuring all works are delivered to the highest possible Health, Safety and environmental standards, whilst safeguarding the wellbeing of all employees
