The Corporate Performance & Business Planning team work closely with stakeholders across the Council to develop and maintain a culture of proactive performance management. The team provides senior leadership with oversight of Council performance against key strategic deliverables and identifies opportunities for service improvement and in doing so play an integral part in the successful delivery of our Borough Plan.

The role:

The Corporate Performance Manager will play a leading role in the continued development of our corporate reporting framework. They will help to embed an organisation-wide performance management culture by delivering a holistic view of performance against strategic outcomes, business plans and service level priorities. They will also assist with the implementation and roll out of a new performance reporting platform. The role involves the line management of a Corporate Performance Officer.

The Candidate

In order to succeed in the role the applicant must be able to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to succintly summarise large amounts of performance data into impactful performance reports. The successful applicant will have detailed knowledge of performance management and service improvement methodology. Experience of managing teams is also desirable, as is experience of implementing new technologies across large organisations.
