These roles will be core to the design and delivery of our front line services across the district.  We have strong partnerships locally, regionally and nationally and we will be looking to you to continue to develop and grow these to meet our challenging and ambitious agenda.

Our Housing and Communities team is experienced, responsive and has built excellent partnerships that deliver high quality services to support our communities.  We are looking for a Head of Housing & Communities who can build on this strong foundation and develop the service to meet the future needs of our district.

You will have an opportunity to lead and shape our response to the emerging priorities for our communities, continuing the work that this Council has been driving forward and working with highly professional and effective teams who are committed to delivering excellent public services.

Your exceptional people skills will make you a visible and motivational leader who gets the most from others, whilst your technical knowledge will ensure the delivery of high quality, responsive services.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a skilled and resourceful senior manager with extensive experience of managing all aspects of housing and community in a local authority setting. You will have proven success at making connections across partners and sectors to deliver successful outcomes.

You will have experience of delivering service change and implementation, project management and commissioning contracts. Your communication skills need to be excellent, as well as your abilities to negotiate and influence, bringing together individuals and teams. You need to be able to problem solve, devise solutions and make informed and well-judged decisions.
