Job Details

It is an exciting time to join Telford and Wrekin’s Education and Skills Directorate.  Our fantastic town is growing and in light of our increasing population we are able to invest in our education services.  We have recently added the post of Service Delivery Manager for Access and Sufficiency into our management structure, responsible for School Admissions, Pupil Place Planning and Education Sufficiency.

Telford is a brilliant place to live, work and play.  A borough of contrasts, it includes the beautiful World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge.  The teams across Education and Skills work hand in hand with our OFSTED graded Outstanding Children’s Services and together we make a significant difference to the life chances of the children and young people that we serve.

To be considered for this post you hold a proven track record as an enthusiastic and experienced senior leader in Education with a background in Local Government.  You will be the strategic lead for school organisation and line manage an excellent team of colleagues that are focused on ensuring there is appropriate access to high quality education for all children.

There are a number of ongoing and planned major school build projects and you will lead on their delivery to support our projected sufficiency requirements.  We have excellent relationships with our schools and academy friends and you will work in partnership with our key stakeholders to deliver on our ambitions.

As a member of the directorate management team you will be a key decision maker and help to shape future strategy and innovation.

The Education and Skills Directorate is already a high performing team but we strive to do even more.  We are determined that every child will succeed in Telford and Wrekin and our role is to ensure it is one of the best places in the country for young people to grow, learn, develop and achieve.

If you share our passion for making a difference, we would be delighted if you joined us.
