As Service Lead for Public Health in Reading you will lead on improving the health and wellbeing of residents in line with the Council’s vision, goals and objectives, helping us to meet the challenges associated with the Covid 19 pandemic, whilst delivering our vision for a healthy Reading, reducing inequalities in health outcomes, preventing avoidable ill-health and protecting local communities from public health hazards.

You will also be working as a key part of the innovative Berkshire West Public Health arrangement, a unique opportunity to work with colleagues in neighbouring authorities across Berkshire West, whilst providing local public health leadership in Reading.

We are looking for a system leader, with proven experience of partnership working, the achievement of public health outcomes and the successful pursuit of innovative change.
