As Strategic Director for Place, you’ll be at the very forefront of this.
As a key member of the corporate management team you’ll provide strategic leadership and service expertise to our City Mayor and his Cabinet in the development and delivery of our Great 8 priorities. You will play a pivotal role in delivering the ambitions of the Inclusive Economy Strategy to deliver real change – driving inclusive and sustainable economic growth. You will take the lead on the development of city place shaping strategies to drive inclusive growth and regeneration delivering high quality employment opportunities for local people. Alongside this you will lead the development of the City’s culture, heritage, arts, and leisure activities maximising the opportunities that the culture and visitor economy can bring to the city.
It’s a high-profile role that will see you not only heading up our Place Directorate and taking responsibility for a wide range of services and functions locally but also fostering key strategic relationships across the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), regionally, and nationally.
