Community is everything in the Shetland Islands. Every one of us has a contribution to make to the cultural, economic and social fabric of life on the islands. And this sense of shared responsibility and ownership has never been as valuable as it has over the last 12 months, when our integrated Community Health and Social Care teams have repeatedly gone above and beyond. We’ll look to our new Director to harness this commitment; to support staff in continuing to meet the needs of our community; and to bring visible and accountable leadership to a complex portfolio of integrated provision in a dispersed community.
