Work in a vibrant, diverse and resilient city where young people, schools, families and the Local Authority value the contribution that EPs make.  We have been successfully trading with schools since 2011 and are the primary provider of high-quality applied psychology in the city through four service areas teams and whole service initiatives. We have increasing demand for local authority and traded commissioned work.

As part of the service, you will have opportunities to develop your areas of interest in line with a socially inclusive agenda. The EPS is engaged is many projects promoting positive outcomes for children and young people and for the adults and systems supporting them.  These include Video Enhance Practice (VIG and VERP), Trauma Informed /Attachment Aware Training, SCERTS and ELSA.  More recent activities include work with the West Midlands Violence Reduction Unit and developing pilots for graduated approaches for anxious and phobic non-attending pupils.

The EPS has very strong links with Educational Psychology training courses and are committed to promoting professional development at all levels. We value research and support colleagues to work towards publication of their research and professional practice.

Applicants for the educational psychology posts must have appropriate qualifications to work as an educational psychologist. We are also welcoming applications from trainees due to qualify this year 2021 or in 2022.
