East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work and a great place to make a real difference to people's lives, delivering vital services to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk. We are committed to delivering an ambitious regeneration and development programme in the district and are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Regeneration Manager to drive this exciting and wide-ranging programme forward.

You will be joining the Council at an incredibly exciting time, having recently been awarded £25m from the Towns Fund to deliver five transformational capital projects in Lowestoft town centre and resort which form part of the highly ambitious £0.5bn Town Investment Plan. Key projects already underway within the plan include the new Gullwing Bridge, an extensive flood protection scheme and a comprehensive full fibre programme. In addition, the Council is also committed to a major leisure led development programme in Felixstowe.

You will manage and lead a team of highly motivated regeneration professionals and take responsibility for delivering strategic regeneration programme and project objectives on time and within budget, coordinating resources, managing risk, providing recommendations and reporting on progress in relation to the East Suffolk Regeneration Programme. You will also ensure the programmes receive strong promotion and publicity and maintain meaningful engagement with partners and stakeholders including through the Lowestoft Place Board and Ambassadors programme.

You will have a proven track record in developing and delivering major projects in a regeneration, planning or development role. You will also have excellent interpersonal, leadership and relationship management skills, political sensitivity and the ability to independently plan and implement work which crosses service and organisational boundaries to ever changing deadlines.
