With a clear vision to lead a united city, ‘One Cambridge, Fair for All’, in which economic dynamism and prosperity are combined with social justice and equality we have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to join us as an Economic Development Manager to act as an Ambassador to businesses for the Council.

You’ll have the ability to establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships with colleagues and Members. Collaboration with partner organisations, business networks and other stakeholders is critical in leverage of investment and funding opportunities aimed at securing recovery and growth in Cambridge City.

Your talent for working in an agile, dynamic and responsive manner will enable your engagement with colleagues across the Council, local partners and the business community to help achieve the Council’s wider policy objectives; including social equity, tackling poverty, climate change and working towards decarbonisation.

The successful candidate will join us with experience in establishing an economic development function as well as an understanding of ways in which the Council can support, promote and influence the local economy along with an awareness of what inclusive growth means for the work of the organisation.
