As Head of Highways, Traffic and Parking, reporting into the Assistant Director for Highways and Environment, you will have responsibility for up to 150 technical and professional staff and external contractor and financial responsibility for up to £40m revenue and £15m capital.  You will be responsible ensuring delivery of high-quality outputs and tangible developments and improvements within the service.

You must have specific experience of directly managing large scale budgets, strategic experience in programme and project management, and a good knowledge of effectively managing a service within highways, traffic, or parking services.  An in-depth contemporary knowledge of Public Realm, Highways, Parking and Waste Management practices is pre-requisite.  A qualification in engineering is desirable but not essential.
