Deputy Town Clerk and Chief Executive:

This role which acts as deputy to the Town Clerk and Chief Executive is responsible for ensuring that the overall strategic direction of the organisation is actively pursued. The role oversees the co-ordination of political and policy advice to the City of London’s Leaders and Members as well as the City of London Police Authority, civic leadership, communications, external affairs, strategic planning , governance and Member and democratic services ensuring cohesion across these areas. Given the stature of this role, the postholder will be expected to undertake extensive external speaking engagements and attend a significant number of functions hosted or supported by the City of London Corporation.
