In order to deliver this Vision, the City Council is proactively developing plans for the its Liveable Exeter programme; a transformational programme to deliver up to 12,000 new homes for the city in sustainable and inclusive urban communities.

We are seeking to recruit a knowledgeable and enthusiastic new Service Lead for the City Development Service which comprises planning, building control and land charges functions We want an experienced and dynamic manager keen to drive forward our ambitious vision and to motivate and deliver successful projects through the service area.

The successful applicant for the Service Lead position will be a high performing, capable and confident professional who is able to lead and manage the service and its diverse functions. They will have a flexible style with good self - motivation and an ability to mentor and develop others as well as inspiring confidence in their professional approach to the service functions. The post reports to the Director, City Development, Housing and Supporting people.
