Make our vision a reality

Bury Council has recently benefited from developing a new senior leadership team that is setting the pace and the vision for the future for the benefit of all who live, work, learn and relax in the borough. For Legal and Democratic Services, it means a journey to be outstanding. To do that we need stand out leadership – that’s where you come in.

We are preparing for the launch of our new 10-year plan Let’s do it which sets out our ambition, a key part of which is using democratic functions to amplify community voice.  We have also set out our joint Corporate Plan with Bury CCG, which sets out some of the work to do in governance, policy and compliance.

This is a corporate role, so we want our leader in Legal and Democratic Services to be able to contribute as widely as possible, in particular to establish the Corporate Core across the Council and CCG; to drive good governance in partnership with finance and develop our joint leadership and decision making with health.

If you are an experienced solicitor who has a passion for driving outcomes, we would like to hear from you.
