This is an exciting time to be working as a Senior Facilities Manager for the Metropolitan Police Service. In addition to large-scale transformation, there's the unique and ever-evolving challenge of policing London. This means that as a Senior Facilities Manager, there are more opportunities for you to get involved with making London the safest global city in a time of unprecedented change within the UK's largest Police Service.

As Senior Facilities Manager with responsibility for maintaining electronic security services (ESS) across the MPS, you will play a major role in ensuring the state remains secure and complies with all relevant corporate policies and legislative requirements, protecting our people, assets, and information.    The vacancy sits within the Property Service Department (PSD) Facilities Management ‘hard’ services team. You will be expected to have strong technical, procurement and management skills across a broad range of electronic security systems including the enabling hardware and supporting software. Utilising these skills and relevant experience, you will manage the ESS elements of the FM supply chain, delivering planned and reactive maintenance services and minor ESS projects across the estate. You will be required to oversee the management of one or more ESS term contracts, ensuring KPIs, SLAs and contract deliverables are achieved and maintained. Working in partnership with our ESS suppliers, you will encourage innovation and improved service delivery whilst challenging and assisting where performance is below the required standard. You will play a key role in the future development and procurement of ESS supply chain contracts, providing valuable input to ensure future contracts fully meet the needs of a transforming estate. As the Senior Facilities Manager for ESS, you will form part of an intelligent client function based at one of the PSD's area bases, either in Sidcup or Hendon. However, you will be required to adopt an agile working approach, involving regular travel across the estate. Whilst the role will be challenging, it will be both rewarding and interesting, allowing you to work across a diverse estate.

The Real Estate Management Department is looking for an individual who is able to prioritise a challenging workload and has well-developed networking and customer skills. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and energetic person who is committed to improving the security performance and overall resilience of the MPS estate.
