Following the retirement of the current post holder we are now looking to recruit a new Executive Director to lead our Place Directorate.  We are also looking for a candidate who wants to play a key role in shaping and delivering our new Council Strategy and also overseeing the implementation of our new Environment, Economic Development and Housing Strategies.

We are looking for an experienced leader with a track record in effective partnership working and in leading and developing large multi-service teams.  You will play an active role within the Senior Management Team working closely with the Chief Executive, the other Executive Directors and Members.  We are looking for a Director who is equally comfortable leading corporate and partnership initiatives alongside their Directorate responsibilities.

You will need to be confident working with a wide range of stakeholders and be commercially astute.  Experience of working in the public sector, ideally local government, is essential.  We are also looking for someone with a range of relevant and transferable skills and experience which will both complement our existing Senior Management Team and provide the leadership we look for from our Executive Directors.
