This role presents the opportunity to take the strategic lead across three diverse local authorities (Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes councils) – ensuring a cohesive and consistent approach, through effective partnership working. It’s a chance to take your Public Health career to the next level.

You’ll already have a proven track record in designing, implementing and evaluating public health strategy, working in partnership across both local authority and NHS settings. It’s essential that you possess a detailed knowledge of public health practice and epidemiology, equipping you to offer clear, evidence-based analysis and advice to colleagues and a wide range of public stakeholders.

The ability to adapt and articulate complex subject matter to different audiences will be essential in building trust and credibility in a partnership setting – and a highly developed appreciation of working within a political environment will enable you to influence and advise effectively.
