Are you someone who can make a difference?  Do relationships matter to you?  Do you have a passion and enthusiasm for enabling children and families to have their best life? Are you able to think creatively and help others to do the same, to bring about change?  If you can answer positively to these questions you may be keen to join us at Rochdale Council as we look to recruit to a key role in children’s services.

We have come on an interesting improvement journey in Rochdale over the last 5 or 6 years.  It has been hard work, but we have made great progress because of the terrific people we have in the service.

Rochdale’s children’s service is now widely recognised as making a positive difference to children and families.  We have strong partnerships across the borough which support our Family Services model, working across localities to make a real impact.  Our Relationships Manifesto demonstrates the pioneering culture of the borough in putting relationships at the heart of everything we do, and we have numerous examples of how we have improved outcomes through innovative approaches and best practice.

We are currently seeking a Head of Performance, Standards and Improvement who will report directly to the DCS and manage workforce development, business support and performance management as well as be the service lead for risk management.  We are seeking candidates who can support and develop our staff at all levels, and help them own our approach to performance and quality. This post will tightly manage our performance systems and connect different parts of the service as part of our single service approach.

There really couldn’t be a better time to join us in Rochdale - it’s a great place to be and we have plenty to offer.

So, if you have the energy, enthusiasm, commitment and drive to be part of our further development as we move to ‘good’ and ‘outstanding’, click on the button below or contact our advising consultants Rachel Cox on 0113 205 6068 or Luke Judd on 0113 205 6077.

Closing date:  5th December 2019.
